Also, not sure if anyone in these comments will talk about this, but I feel like this generation (my daughter is 9) is far MORE savvy about what is fake online. My kid’s like - “No, that’s AI” while I’m like “Cuuuute! Look at those baby animals holding each other!” So I’m actually not quite as worried. Aaaaaanyway! Great episode! Gonna go buy her book now!
Great pod!! Loved the discussion and this type of episode. Something it made me think about is how when Bad Moms the movie was big, mom drinking culture was really “in” and it feels like we’re moving away from thinking binge drinking is cool generally, so wondering how perhaps drinking less could be tied into identity here, and could contribute to the draw toward idolizing a “good mom” life
