Well damn, I really wanted to listen to this whole episode of Claire and Emma but after 10 minutes I was so intrigued that I had to stop and go buy the book. I guess I’ll be back to listen after I read it!
Despite the intriguing reference to Awkwafina at the end, the world of the novel seemed very white, and I would have been interested to hear if that was the case and (if yes) what joy the author found in satirizing certain kinds of white womanhood. Y'all are so good at talking about whiteness on the Bachelor franchise, and I would have loved to have heard some of that analysis here. Thanks for another great audio chat!
