I love this space and this newsletter. As my own attention span shifts and changes because of the weird work world of the pandemic, I always come back here for conversations about things I have and have not seen or read. It gives me fresh ideas and enthusiasm for re-engaging when my brain feels tired, so thank you for that!

I love Rich Text and am excited for more in 2022! I especially love the recommendations you do at the tail end of some letters and the non-reality TV show podcast discussions you have sometimes. Happy New Year 💜

Thank you Claire and Emma! Listening to your pods has been a real bright spot in these times. Watching you two grow into yourselves is really wonderful.

Claire - I’m a few years ahead of you in parenting, with an 8 year old and a 2 year old. Sometimes when you’re talking, I can tell you’re in what I’ve come to know as the pit. The pit is dark and confusing, you’re going just by feel most of the time. And sometimes, it feels like the pit is telling you that you’re failing. The pit lies! I can’t promise it will ever be easy (I have a 19 year old stepson. It’s never easy.), but the high needs of babies and toddlers combined with new parenthood is unmatched in difficulty by anything else I’ve done in life. You are doing a really good job.

Grateful for this space you have created for yourselves and us! While I don't want to push you to mine anything you aren't comfortable with, I do love the more personal episodes you do as well (i.e. the motherhood divide series). I also stand by a comment I made on one of those posts about fertility testing and the impact of influencer culture specifically as a great episode idea...

I am also pro-book club (let us know in a newsletter a few weeks before the pod) and mini-series (like SATC)!
