Emma, I can only imagine how hard this must be for you. There are student organizations in my home country (Italy) holding rallies in support of Palestinians, and of Palestinians only. In Italy, and in Europe more in general, historically the Left has been aligned with Palestine and the Right with Israel - this distinction makes no sense today. You put it beautifully, we must be able to hold multiple truths at the same time - the wrongness of the occupation of the Gaza Strip doesn’t make what Hamas did and is still doing less cruel, senseless, horrific, inexcusable.
