As a person with sensitive, particular feet, I'm eager to try some of Claire's go-to shoe brands!

As a MassHole I've been following the Karen Read case, although not obsessively. I definitely believe there are no cut and dry victims and villains here. She is a curious personality. A friend of mine who met her is convinced she is innocent. (He also wrote a ditty that inadvertantly became the anthem for the Pro Karen Read camp!) Lots of people in MA are convinced this is a massive case of police corruption. My guess is there is corruption happening, but she also had some role to play. I don't get Max but maybe I'll do a free trial to watch it 😉

I really appreciate you naming specifics stories about the deportations.

Also watching the Karen Reed doc. I keep getting caught up on the wrong thing, like the wild texts sent between these people, many in law enforcement, and the amount of drinking and driving in blizzard conditions.

That Oxford shirt is everything I’ve been looking for. Many thanks 🙏🏼

Claire, this isn’t in this weeks recs but I finally gifted my three year old son a Yoto box per your advice they are superior to Tonies. And we have somehow gone two entire days with no screen time, and not even a request for any??? He’s obsessed and it’s landed for us at the perfect time since we are potty training soon and Yoto cards are the perfect reward.

Oh I'm so glad!!! It's funny because I almost mentioned this week that I was considering buying a second one for my toddler to use eventually, as part of my tariff anxiety spiral. My son is still obsessed with his.

Thank you so much for highlighting the deportation stories and the stories of ICE raids - I have no words to describe how despicable and terrifying this is. Have you come across any non-profits or orgs that are supporting people/families impacted by the inhumane actions of ICE and other agents?

Trying to find the best way to support families like what happened in Oklahoma that aren’t making nightly national news.

As someone who works at Rothy’s, I can attest to the fact that the strap on Max Square Mary Jane will not break, it’s very durable. My coworkers wear them for up to 8 hours away, and they hold. Just make sure you don’t dry them! Let them air dry!
