I'd love to know the specific recipes for your fancy teas, Emma! I love summery ice teas!

Meant to respond to this earlier!! Made these in large quantities, so I put 15-20 tea bags of each kind in 2-3 gallons of water for each and let them steep for 1-2 hours initially before adding other ingredients.

- Then for Arnold Palmer I added 1 full container of lemonade (tried to get fresh / no added sugar juices).

- For Hibiscus I sliced 4 jalapenos and mostly de-seeded them and added those slices, plus a full little container of lime juice.

- For Mint-Ginger, I added a bunch of lime juice & a full container of fresh-squeezed watermelon juice.

We let them all steep overnight and took the tea bags out in the morning.

Claire, when I’m in that desperate dinner mode, the Smitten Kitchen recipe in my back pocket is her quick pasta e Ceci. I use a full cup of ditalinis (2 cups if I’m doubling the recipe) and for littles just omit the red pepper flakes. It’s so easy, so tasty, and a pantry meal to boot!

Elizabeth Bruenig’s piece is heartbreaking. I get what you are saying about her views on natalism and abortion, but at least she is coming from a whole-life approach to "pro-life." As a very liberal feminist Catholic (lol we do exist), I can at least have some understanding with this viewpoint.
